How to make Nicky's Healing Chai Teas

How to make Nicky's Chai Tea

I have reawakened a powerful blend of ancient Ayurveda spices that I call RawCia Tea, Raw and Cia is what we often call my eldest daughter Lucia, her name means golden light, it reminds me of her, healing energy and light, golden for the turmeric. My Ancient tea spices range is Original Chai, Chocolate Chip Chai and Turmeric Chai. I am so excited to share my healing teas with you and the world.

Thank you for purchasing my tea on your last detox retreat, workshop or cooking demo.

Once you have purchased my new chai teas you will be transformed to a whole new way of thinking and drinking tea to heal. You become part of my tea family.

Here is everything you need to know about how  to make my tea and it's amazing healing properties.

What do you need

Chai Tea

Tea Pot or a cup with tea strainer

Step 1.

1 dessert spoon of Chai Tea
Add to a tea pot or your special tea cup with strainer

Step 2.

Brew for 3 -5 mins

The longer it's brewed the stronger

Step 3.

Once brewed, pour 1/2 cup of brewed chai and top with hot water

Optional add honey for a sweeter taste

Note: If you are using the tea cup with strainer which are fantastic for travelling, you may even see me travel with mine and bring on my retreats… you can brew as normal, use strainer provided in the tea cup always to pour into a cup.
Top with boiling water as needed.

Secret:  Your Chai Tea will last 2-3 days in tea pot, keep brewing the same batch, you can add a teaspoon more ingredients to make it stronger.

I brew mine until the flavours become weak.

The ingredients in your chai tea is filled with expensive and quality  spices like star anise & cardamom and chunks of real cinnamon bark
and the amazing healing turmeric, so don't throw the used tea brew out until it's brewed weak.

Want to make a golden latte- as a treat.

Turmeric has very powerful healing properties.

My Story

I have used it for years. I can feel my own healing in joints and even dental health.
This spice chai & turmeric has been used in India for thousands of  years. It's ancient and a medicinal herb.

By drinking my tea it is healing your body. If you have dental issues use it as a mouth wash. The amount of turmeric used in my tea is strong enough to act as a anti bacterial mouth wash, and keep gum disease at bay and any infections in the mouth.

The healing properties found in Turmeric, known as Curcumin which is the principal curcuminoid that demonstrates the pharmacological properties of turmeric.

In Indian and in my Yoga Teacher training we study Ayurveda  a powerful blend of ancient Ayurveda spices that we call medicinal spices & herbs for healing. All the spices that perfectly make up my original chai tea blend provide healing. I named it "original " because I wanted to keep it as an original recipe as possible from where it originated India.  The two go together so well yoga and chai. The difference with mine is it is made with intense flavor and real turmeric chunks and cinnamon bark.

My own personal story of discovering chai tea has not been previously been spoken of publicly. I want to share this with you.
When I was on my teacher training in LA BIKRAM YOGA 2013… I can't even believe that is 5 years ago. I developed a very bloated tummy, because of the high intense heated classes sometimes up to 50 degree and drinking up to 6-7 litres of water per day, my body and kidneys were not coping, it was too much water for my little body to cope and the problem occurred trying to replace the electrolytes. I feared I would dehydrate. I drank loads of coconut water, lemon and salt water  and water.  I was out of balance through the training with my tummy feeling bloated and not hungry up until I reached out to my friend an Ayurveda Doctor Rama Prasad who organized  a Skype session, this was the turning point for me, to discover what the ancients already new.
He told me to do a technique that is too in depth to explain here which is calked Kunjal Kriya, but there is a blog about my experience found at Nicky Arthur The Power of Living Raw if you want to know more on this crazy but wonderful technique.

Rama recommended  I drink chai tea and a lot of it.  I remember thinking where am I going to find Chai Tea at the Raddison Hotel, where we were staying  for a long ten weeks away from family and friends. But funny enough where I ordered my breakfast everyday in the restaurant they made a natural and strong brew of chai tea, from a tea bag, yes in Los Angeles! I could tell this was a very good tea blend.

In fact I was never to find that chai tea taste again. When I returned to Australia I went on a Chai seeking journey. That lives with me today. I travel a lot and it's very difficult to find a real Authentic original spicy healing tea, that you know has the healing spices with intense flavor, with all respect to the local cafes and places I travel, I rarely find a good strong natural chai tea latte. There is one secret place I go in Mosman and the lady knows exactly how I like it, she takes time to brew it and makes it with love, there is a difference.

I found relief in my tummy automatically. I was able to ease the bloating while finishing my training, and as soon as the training was over and less time spent in the hot room, seemed better but since the training I have continued to drink my chai tea and recently the Turmeric Chai tea that has transformed my health even more.

Chai tea and Turmeric has been used in Eastern medicine for thousands of years, this amazing synergy of spices contain potent anti-inflammatory properties, that can assist with working as a natural anti-depressant, aiding digestion and is packed with antioxidants.

My own personal experience with chai tea and turmeric has rocked my world, that is why I am so passionate about making and Sharing my teas.

There are endless health benefits.

Here is a just few go to name.

Turmeric Contains Bioactive Compounds With Powerful Medicinal Properties.
Curcumin is a Natural Anti-Inflammatory Compound
Turmeric Dramatically Increases The Antioxidant Capacity of the Body - amazing!
Relieve inflammation, even my mum has received healing and awesome benefits in her body and joints.
Relieve joint pain associated with mild osteoarthritis
Increase joint mobility and reduce joint stiffness associated with mild osteoarthritis
Maintain general wellbeing- take it everyday

A number of laboratory studies on cancer cells have shown that curcumin does have anticancer effects. It seems to be able to kill cancer cells and prevent more from growing. It has the best effects on breast cancer, bowel cancer, stomach cancer and skin cancer cells

Lack of oral hygiene can make the mouth susceptible to disorders or infections like gingivitis, dental cavities, periodonitis, oral cysts, ulcers, oral cancer etc.

Turmeric  can be used as a mouthwash, it  is as effective as chlorhexidine mouthwash and can be used as an adjunct and low cost measure to control plaque. It worked for me
and as a preventative health technique what gave you got to lose, but only gain more benefits with the healing amazing turmeric.

Turmeric’s role as an anti-cancer is well known. It is no surprise it can help in oral cancer too. I hope you found this article helpful for when you next brew a cup of my chai tea.

Moving Forward

Imagine you are balancing perfectly still in this yoga pose. You have one leg raised and one is  firmly planted on the ground. One hand reaching forward, one hand firmly gripping your foot, often grasping for breath and balance.  Your eyes are open, gazing forward, and finally you feel that moment where your  mind is free of thoughts and focused on nothing else but remaining still and calm.

No matter how strong or balanced you are at holding this position, you'll always be moving, subtly to maintain balance, finding stillness, trying to go to your edge.

This is exactly what managing your life is like, just as you need continue to tweak your posture to maintain balance, and keep moving forward, you'll need to continue fine-tuning, tweaking and developing your mind body soul, your life philosophies, strategies and plans to remain successful happy and balanced.

Keep your eye to where you want to go, not the last, but stay present in your day to day life, tweaking and knowing by keeping on the Moore and fine tuning when you can will help you move forward to reach your goals.
