What Are You Letting Go Of Before The End Of 2014?



How much stress are you carrying around? 

Do you feel tightness in your body and a cluttered mind? 

Do you sometimes  feel burdened by life's challenges, circumstances  and emotional issues? 

Becoming more grounded and happy starts with letting go of worry and stress. 




I learned this on my own continued journey, the practice of meditation and yoga was my tool, healing myself from within, letting go of the need to drink alcohol, exercise at a competitive level all the time, and walking away from a career in owning my own Hair and Beauty Salon’s to follow my heart to do something that really felt more aligned to my soul purpose and what I am truly passionate about. Becoming and  author was a dream, health coach, yoga and wellness retreat facilitatorwriter and more and more these days life coaching and mentoring others.

However in the process, I had to let go of a lot of things to become the person I am today.
Physically, spiritually and emotionally, I had to learn how to let go of the person I thought I should be in order to be the person I really wanted to be. Letting go of anything in life, takes courage to really find your authentic self, it can be a little scary, but it can also be an amazing  act of self-love. 

Letting go of things that don’t really serve you in mind and body takes courage and faith.



Letting go of my stress and worries  made a difference for me, of course as my personal mentor would say I still dip in and out of some of low basement thought patterns and feel stress from time to time, but I am making great progress and it is possible for YOU too, to live your life on soul purpose. I've found he below tips  a good reminder of what I need to strive for each day in order to reach unlimited contentment

I want to share with you my memorable moments in 2014 and thank you for being part of it and leave you with my list of tips to help you move forward into 2015 with good energy.



2014 was a spectacular year for me! I had the privilege to spend time with amazing people... YOU! People also  sharing common obstacles relating to well being, weight-loss, relationship, family and friend challenges.  I travelled to exotic places for work and pleasure.  I enjoyed shooting images for my own pleasure and visions for future projects. I published my third book The Power of Raw, expanded on my personal journey of creating new recipes from raw and healing foods, detox programs, facilitating an AMAZING SPIRITUAL RETREAT in Bali at Fivelements. I have seen many of my Mind Body Transformation members completely transform not only their bodies but their way of life, its been a great pleasure to watch the energy and happiness radiate from each and every member.  


Some of the many highlights was the BALI RETREAT, and spending time with an intimate group helping inspire them on this way of life, it certainly was a special and memorable and successful retreat. I love and respect the beautiful team at  fivelements who really went out of their way to WOW our guests. To facilitate a retreat with my Bikram Bestie Tina and Jacinda who is always at every big event helping where possible. To have a wonderful partnership and friendship is very special.  I am looking forward to meeting those who have booked the July 2015 Retreat in Bali and sharing something unique and special with you. Bring on JULY 2015!



I received much work satisfaction from presenting the 'Become Your Best' Seminars to the teenage girls in Canberra always brings total satisfaction, fun and joy.
The success of  the 3 Day Yoga Detox in Karratha was so much FUN,  memorable and a very special one this year.  Karratha love these weekends and it shows, thank you Karratha for inviting me back each year.  It was  my very first visit to Port Hedland after Karratha, meeting the locals was fun and an adventure on the way back being stuck in a road block with wildfires!




I couldn't have done all this without the love and support of my daughters  Lucia and Millijana,  everything I do is around my girls, they are my big rocks in life,  I fit everything in after them, I never have negotiated it and becoming a Mother has been the greatest gift in the world, I get the great pleasure to walk my angels to school daily and pick them up, take them to their activities, sit on the side line of every game, be there for the tears and the JOY. 
I have to thank my amazing grounded natural and sincere family & friends, also my fans, members, my publishers New Holland, my amazing behind the scene ‘CREW’ Ada, Kelly, Ewan, Tina, Andrew, Rama, Michelle Z, Suzie, Jo H, and Sonia E, who all believe in me and my visions, thank you to my mentor and coach who continues to feed me new ideas and share grounded advice to keep me on the path of living a more enlightened life and helping others along the way. 
You’re  support and creative minds helped to make this year such a great success, THANK YOU!



I am working on a massive project for 2015 and can not wait to share this vision soon!



Allow me to leave you this year with my last words for 2014 and some tips from 'The Body Work' on ‘Letting Go’ 






'Life does not wait for you,  YOU have to make the first move, let it begin with you. You have to become the change in YOU first to change your world you live in. I say  let go of fear and  GO FOR IT. What have you got to lose?
Make 2015 one of the best years ever.

Tip 

Get clear of your intentions today for 2015, write them down, set a plan, take action, and lastly  TRUST THE PROCESS because life will support you and your grand design in what ever you want your life to be, but only when you are game enough to let go of anything that may not serve you anymore and move into your dreams with love and light. 

Love is the healer, you have to love what you do in life and love yourself first, then love everyone and everything around you. You will attract loving positive amazing people and opportunities.




Read my tips of good reminders of what I need to strive for each day in order to reach unlimited energy, great health and contentment. Try reading them daily it will help you move out of pain, and into enlightenment love and contentment.


1. Let go of feeling guilty for doing what you truly want to do in life.

2. Let go of all thoughts that don't make you feel empowered and strong. Practice positive self nurturing affirmations and thought process. Nature intended life to be great for you. 

3. Let go of the fear of the unknown; take one small step and watch the path reveal itself. Life is a journey, not a destination,  enjoy the diversity of it all. 

4. Let go of regrets; at one point in your life, that “whatever" was exactly what you wanted. Be honest. You are the co creator of your life. The past is part of who you are today... let go of regret.

5. Let go of worrying; worrying is like praying for what you don't want. It takes courage to let go of worry. Learn to live in the present moment. Worrying is living in the future, it has not happened and the likely-hood is it won’t.

6. Let go of blaming anyone for anything.  Be accountable and responsible for your own life. If you don't like something, you have two choices, accept it or change it. This is a big one in Divorce. Let go of what if, why, and spending too much time on blaming others. This will help you be in the drivers seat again of your life. You are exactly where you need to be right now to learn and grow from the experience. 

7. Let go of thinking you are damaged; you are not! You matter, and the world needs you just as you are. You are amazing just the way you are and can offer the world your uniqueness. An act of self love. 


8. Let go of being the “go-to person" for everyone, all the time. Stop putting yourself last ( a note from my How To Be a Happier Mum)  and take care of yourself first, because you matter. You have to restore and re balance in order to look after everyone else. You may have to stop and rest, not for long but rest and restore then GO again with everything in balance, rather than extreme. 

9. Let go of thinking everyone else is happier, more in love, successful or better off than you. You are right where you need to be. Your journey is unfolding perfectly for you right now. Believe it.

10. Let go of cheating on your future with your past. It's time to move on and tell a new story. Create a new life plan and intention for your life, then live in the present moment the rest will be amazing.

11. Let go of thinking you are not where you should be in life. You are right where you need to be to get to where you want to go, so start asking yourself where you want to go. Asking the question daily ‘Where do I want to go? Who do I want to speak to and what do I need to know today?’

12. Let go of angst, blame and hatred toward ex lovers and family. It will not serve you. We all deserve happiness and love; just because it is over doesn't mean the love was wrong. The love was special at the time and now you have moved forward. If you are not together, you are clearly not meant to be. Things can go wrong and take twists and turn but it doesn’t necessarily mean it was wrong at the time. 


13. Let go of thinking you have to know how to make it happen; we learn the way on the way. Enjoy your journey of not knowing everything in the moment and changing your mindset to be open to learn and grow.

14. Let go of your money worries — make a plan to pay off debt and focus on your gratitude abundance. It can take the stress out of everything, find someone who is an expert and who can help you plan and guide you.

15. Let go of always trying to fit in and be accepted by everyone. Your uniqueness is what makes you outstanding. Just be YOU! Learn to love yourself first and everyone will love you!

16. Let go of self-hate. Learn to practice self love everyday. The universe needs you and loves you the way you are. But be responsible for looking after yourself from a holistic level. See ‘Looking after yourself in the How to be a Happier Mum’

The key at this time of the year is to remember to look after yourself.

Understanding your own body's needs, and learning how to fine tune your body is critical, but it does take time. I have spent my entire life learning how to find my own core centre balance, fine tuning, and learning how to restore and rest my body at the 'CELL' level. Now it is my turn to help YOU!




Breathe
The key at this time of the year is to remember to look after yourself. Look after yourself and your immune system will support you. One of the 3 major organs - the lungs - are critical for supporting your immune system. Getting good quality oxygen to your lungs and upper respiratory system means breathing deeply and knowing when you may be holding your breath. Breathing deeply keeps your energy flowing.

Meditation
 Begin daily meditation with 5 minutes, then increase to 15 mins. Find a quiet spot, maybe around nature, and sit upright first for 5-20 minutes. Then relax into savasana (lying on your back) to fully relax. Visualise yourself relaxing every body part, working your way up the body to the crown of your head. Meditation can be used to balance serotonin and melatonin levels – helpful for overcoming jet lag, insomnia and depression.
Sit quietly and focus on your breathing. Visualize your body detoxifying. As you inhale, visualize healthy oxygen entering your lungs and blood stream. As you exhale, visualize toxins leaving your body
  

Lifestyle
Aim to live a good lifestyle. Follow a healthy diet; try not to skip your breakfast or lunch. Don’t stay up too late and try not to be over-stressed mentally. Exercise regularly but don’t become over-tired physically. Use meditation and relaxation daily… All these behaviours contribute to the strength of your immune system and to living an amazing centered life.

Raw Healthy Christmas Pudding - Gluten free


I couldn't leave you this year without a Yummy Raw Christmas Recipe.
Of course it is guilt free! Wheat, dairy, gluten and refined sugar free. No nasty additives or oils either! Grab the ingredients today and you can be treating your friends and family to the healthiest Xmas Pudding around!  I served this recipe last Christmas and will be making it again this year for Christmas Day for my loved ones (mostly non-Raw Foodies). You can serve this to your Mum, Dad, Nana and friends and they will love it.


Ingredients for the Xmas pudding


1 & 1/2C almond flour
1/2C flax meal
1/2C flaked almonds
1/2C chopped walnuts
1C chopped sultanas- I used Cranberries.
6 chopped medjool dates
2 chopped figs
2T sour cherries chopped
2T white mulberries chopped
1t cinnamon
1t nutmeg
1T mixed spice
1/2t ginger
few drops almond extract
1t vanilla extract
Rind and juice of 1 lemon
Rind and juice of 1 orange
2cm piece ginger grated- 
pinch cardamom
Method
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Set aside. In a high powered blender combine:

1/2C almond nut butter or you can just use LSA
1/2C coconut oil / butter - I used both 
1 Table spoon Agave - I used honey as I ran out of Agave 
1 Tablespoon Molasses - If you don't have molasses you could substitute it for honey
6 medjool dates (soaked to soften and pitted)
Pinch Himalayan crystal salt

Blend all ingredients together. Add to ingredients in bowl and combine. Shape by hand or using a small bowl and turn upside down onto baking paper or paraflexx lined dehydrator sheet & dehydrate at 105°F for approx 5-6 hours.* 
*If you don't have a dehydrator you can try this in the oven at the lowest setting (on or below 50°C) with the door slightly ajar. Check every hour. It is done when a skewer placed in the middle of the pudding comes out fairly clean. (You want the pudding to stay slightly moist). I made this the day of a party and baked it on low. It still came out moist.
Ingredients for the custard cream
1/2C coconut meat, 1/2C coconut water, 1 vanilla bean pod - scraped, pinch Himalayan crystal salt, pinch cloves, 1/2t star anise, pinch turmeric. Blend all in a high speed blender. Serve over Xmas Pudding.

For those who want to still use custard or cream on Xmas Day, you could lightly drizzle over and some with the Raw Custard cream.

 

This is a very quick easy enjoyable recipe, you just need to make sure you have the ingredients.
